ISO 21001 - Educational Organizations Management System

ISO 21001 Standard enables educational organizations to develop competencies for planning, implementing, managing and maintaining a management system (EOMS) in order that the educational products or services meet the objectives such as satisfying the learners requirements, interested parties, complying with regulations, and meeting educational objectives. ISO 9001 sets the generic requirements of management systems while ISO 21001 makes a comprehensive set of requirements specific to educational organizations.

Description
Educational Organizations are those whose core business is the provision of educational products and educational services. Management System established in line with ISO 21001 demonstrates that educational organizations are able to support the acquisition and development of competence through ‘teaching’, ‘learning’, and ‘research’ and they are further able to enhance ‘satisfaction of learners’ and ‘all interested parties.
The training departments of a ‘larger organization’ whose core business is not education, can also adopt this ISO 21001 standard. It does not apply to Organizations that only produce or manufacture educational products.
